Future development of the Playbox Camera business

(hereinafter referred to as "Playbox") has decided to spin off its business in order to maximize its growth speed and competitiveness in the two areas of research and development of AI and software technology and the development of the Playbox Camera service business.

The new company will be reorganized into two companies: Playbox Inc. will specialize in technology development, and AllClip Inc. will specialize in market development and service provision. Playbox Camera will continue to be available. The new organization will further strengthen the support and improvement cycle to continuously deliver a better experience.

Business Overview: With the mission of "making human motion computable," Playbox, Inc. is conducting research and development of AI and software in the areas of human flow analysis, construction, and crime prevention, with sports as its starting point. We will refine our core technologies in video analysis, situational awareness, and decision support, and deploy value to multiple markets through social implementation and technology provision with partner companies.

Business Overview: The newly established company will take over the Playbox Camera business and provide software services that automate the shooting, editing, and sharing of sports video and convert it into content that can be used for instruction, analysis, and viewing.

Message from CEO: Since its founding, Playbox has been continuously working with people in the field to understand the structure of issues and value standards in the sports domain. In the process, we have come to realize that in order to sustainably grow our services and increase our competitiveness in the market, it is essential to design and improve the value provided, including the overall product experience, in a rapid cycle, in addition to developing advanced technologies. With this change in structure, the new company, AllClip Inc. will focus its management resources on software development and service delivery. Through the speeding up of decision-making and improvement cycles, the new company will build a structure that can provide the product value required in the field with greater certainty and speed.

Background and Purpose of the Spin-off

As the Playbox Camera business entered the full-fledged market launch phase, it became clear that the decision-making and investment decision design required for mid-career technology development and the service business were very different. Therefore, instead of trying to combine both within the same organization, we decided to set up an organization optimized for each to increase the speed of growth and probability of success.

Playbox will further deepen its own technology and increase the competitiveness of its "technology that makes human motion computable" over the long term through social implementation and licensing with partner companies.
With the Playbox Camera business at its core, AllClip Inc. will accelerate the improvement cycle to quickly reflect user feedback, and make quick decisions and raise funds flexibly, which are required for B2C business.

In this way, we are spinning off the company to focus on our respective strengths and clearly divide our roles.

For Playbox Camera users

For our users, this spin-off will lead to the benefit of faster service evolution. Services using existing camera systems (DJI 360-degree cameras) will continue to run smoothly, and we are working on further improvements in preparation for a full service release rollout in early 2026.

Service Continuity: There will be no change to your current service contract or support structure. Please rest assured that the new company, AllClip Inc. will take over the responsibility.

Deployment roadmap: First, AllClip will provide services using existing 360-degree cameras (DJI, etc.), which have a reputation for stable operation, and will continue to make updates with the goal of full service deployment in early 2026.

Regarding the proprietary hardware: Thank you very much for the feedback on the prototype. As for the proprietary camera, we still have a lot of work to do before we are ready for mass production. To ensure uncompromised quality, we will continue to lead the development at Playbox, which specializes in technology.
